Matt Forte
Co-Founder, Chicago Champions Collection
Matt Forte is a former NFL running back renowned for his versatile skills and dedication both on and off the field. Born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Forte rose to national prominence as a star athlete at Tulane University before being drafted by the Chicago Bears in 2008. Over his impressive 10-year career, he was twice named a Pro Bowler and finished with over 9,700 rushing yards and nearly 4,700 receiving yards, placing him among the NFL's most elite dual-threat backs.
Since retiring, Forte has committed himself to making a difference in the lives of young people through mentorship, advocacy, and philanthropy. He leads the What's Your Forte Foundation, an organization dedicated to empowering underserved youth through mentorship, educational resources, and character-building programs. As the co-founder of the Chicago Champions Collection, he leverages his passion for empowering underserved youth by providing resources, support, and opportunities to help them reach their full potential. Forte’s leadership and dedication to community enrichment continue to inspire positive change throughout Chicago and beyond.

Vondale Singleton is a Chicago native, dedicated educator, mentor, and community leader with 21 years of experience in mentoring and educational leadership. As the co-founder of the Chicago Champions Collection and the visionary behind the CHAMPS Male Mentoring Program, Singleton has transformed countless lives by providing guidance, support, and opportunities for young men from underserved communities.
Singleton holds a Master’s Degree in Education and has a wealth of experience that spans mentoring, program development, and educational advocacy. Through his work with CHAMPS and the Chicago Champions Collection, he has fostered a culture of excellence, resilience, and purpose for youth, emphasizing the importance of education, character development, and community responsibility. His commitment to youth empowerment has earned him recognition from local and national organizations.
A devoted advocate for equity, Singleton continues to drive transformative initiatives that inspire hope and build futures, making a lasting difference in Chicago and beyond.
